Effective: Feb 02, 2003
Welcome to the GM-Diesel Web Site! This site is designed for both entertainment and information. Should you choose to join in the forums and post, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Policies. If you are not willing to comply with these terms and policies, you shouldn't register for posting privileges on the GM-Diesel web site. Additionally, we reserve the right to revise these guidelines at any time, and your continued use of the web site signifies your agreement to comply with revised or modified guidelines. So, it is incumbent on the user to review these posting guidelines from time to time.
I Username and Access.
We require that each member register with his or her legal name. The use of a different username is authorized but we require the real name in the signature for the post. You may want to use a combination of first initial/full last name as your screen username. We thank its important to know John or Jane Doe for the positive contributions that are made to the forums. Unfortunately, posts that are made under an assumed "handle" are usually the source of trouble. Current members with older "handle names" should update their signature block. ALL active vendor / commercial subscribers (account) are required to have the business name incorporated into the signature block. We have a right to reveal any info at anytime to anyon e about any person or activity, or event. The use of website links is authorized for site advertisers only. Email address are available at the top of the post and are not necessary in the signatures.
When you request posting privileges on the GM-Diesel web site, you are certifying that all information provided during the registration process is accurate.

Personal responsibility and accountability are important; non-compliance will be dealt with as follows:
a. One violation of the guidelines will result in an e-mail notice to explain the violation and
request an end to the behavior.
b. Two violations usually warrant up to a thirty-day suspension of posting privileges.
c. Three violations and your posting privileges will be immediately revoked.
d. In all cases we reserve the right to immediately revoke posting privileges if we feel the
violation so warrants. Additionally, we reserve the right to delete any inappropriate post
or terminate your posting privileges to the Discussion Forums at any time, with or
without prior notice. This is a privately owned forum, therefore the management reserves the right to
decide which content is acceptable, and which users are allowed posting privialges at any given time, without notice.
IV Discussion Forums.
The GM-Diesel web site Discussion Forum exists to facilitate a medium for gaining knowledge on the proper maintenance and operation of GM trucks. With this in mind, we expect the discussions to include: detailed information, thorough analysis, and helpful accurate guidance. Considering the magnitude of the technical information that will come through the forums, members may make post that are misleading, deceptive, or downright wrong. This may be unintentional or, unfortunately, intentional. We are all familiar with the timeworn axiom of, "Let the 'reader' beware." When reading these posts, don't forget to use good common sense. Remember, we do not have the staff to mediate or "police" all of the information that is posted. When evaluating advice from a post, analyze thoroughly before taking any advice offered. Never rely solely upon any information or opinions you read. Instead, use the post information as a starting point for doing independent research on products and maintenance techniques.
a. Please stay on topic and keep your posts relevant to the topic at hand.
b. Post your topic in the correct forum. Moderators will move posts that are incorrectly
located.
