If you sustain more than 9 lbs of boost the stock program will defuel the motor. Do you notice good power and then a noticeable drop in power after a long accel? If so you have an issue with your wastegate system holding too much PSI.

Boost can not be sustained above 9 PSI for more than a set amount of time (less than i minute I'm pretty sure, maybe even like 20 seconds) before the stock program will defuel the motor until you shutdown and restart. If you can not keep your boost lower than 9 psi then you need to get a boost fooler or even better a programed ECM from Heath Diesel, Westers, or Kennedy Diesel. This with an upgraded exhaust will help tremendously.

Do you have a mechanical wastegate control or is it the stock Vacuum system?

If it's stock then it sounds like the wastegate actuator diaphragm is shot or the gate itself froze up. Could also be the vent valve on the WG solenoid is plugged up and not reducing vacuum to the actuator. Otherwise he's got too much boost dialed in on the controller. Mike
