Supercharging a 6.2L?
Ok, gonna throwit out there. I have a fresh built Weiand/Holly mini blower that was on my 350 Chev. Engine went, put another one in and saved the blower. Had it proffessionally rebuilt. Pretty sure they only put out around 6-9 psi.
Was wondering if anyone has done this, or if it just a bad idea. Seems like All I would have to do is build an intake to fit, and then pump issues of course.
This is for my daily driver, but I have plenty of longblocks to mock up with. Let me know what ya think

Its do-able, in fact Whipple used to make a kit for just such a thing. If you've already got the parts, go for it.

There are marine 6.5's out there that are supercharged. It should work, and it would be pretty cool no doubt.

Yeah, looks like the only thing I'll have to do is offset the blower to the right side so the nosepiece will have room and still keep it fairly low profile. For now I have a "c" engine I am going to put in it so I have a truck again. That way we can mock it up on the "J" engine, then build the engine accordingly.
Sidenote, Other than the dashlights, would there be a problem with removing the Factory Filter mount with the heater in it and replacing it with a Raycor?

would this be more benificial than a turbo? I am in the same exact predicament. I was planning on using my hx35, but just came into a m112 eaton supercharger. I was thinking the supercharger might be easier to try and tune the fuel, since the boost would be more constant. Also, you could set it up to have 1-2 psi at idle, to have no lag.
But the turbo would "probably" be easier to install, and have more gain in the end. Maybe easier on the engine too, dunno.

My supercharger only puts out between 6-12 psi, and can be adjusted by pulley size. I am already workind on a prototype intake adapter for this. So keep in touch for more updates.
