Cooling this 6.5

I have seen these HO waterpumps. I have a serpintine belt so I think I can use this. I am also going to buy a new radiator (Any suggestion on where to get it)? I have seen aux. electric fans. Any success with these? What about these Thermostat crossovers? I have a mechanical pump so I am told they dont make one for my truck. I have a freind which is a fabricator, any chance that it can be made to work? If its worth it? I have seen this duramax fan. Anyone used this? I am about to put 2 new heads on, any advise as to what brand head gasket is the best? This truck hauls some heavy loads so I want to keep as cool as I can. All help will be thankful.

Cometic is the best head gasket, followed by Fel Pro I believe. As for cooling call up Heath Diesel and talk to Bill Heath for a while. You don't need to necessarily buy from him, but I can tell you taht while his prices are steep, his customer service is second to none. He'll talk to you until your ending the conversation about your truck, and he arguably knows more about 6.5 cooling than just about anyone else. Just to get you started and according to Heath the single stat is the best system, which he has logical explanations for and it all fits. The HO pump with the single stat, a D-Max fan and a clean radiator should have no problem keeping your 6.5 cool. If that really wont cut it you can get a very expensive Heath Balanced-Flow cooling upgrade that will even further help the truck stay cool.

IMO electric fans are not worth it unless you spend a LOT of time idling in the heat.
