Its a bolt-on piece if I recall correctly. Everything I've read about it is that it is a significant upgrade. Just FYI, there are better vendors out there then SSdiesel in my opinion. Heath's upgraded fan uses the D-max fan and is awesome. The Kennedy fan I have heard comes on WAY to early and drains too much fuel.
