    Insurance Rates!

I have never owned a new vehicle, so I guess I am a little shocked with these rates for insurance on my new truck.

    2006 2500 HD Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel

I have a clean record and I'm 36 years old. Just the wife and I will be on the insurance.

These Quotes are for $100,000 / $300,000 liability and a $500 deductible on Comp and Collision
    All Quotes are 6 months

State Farm...$970 > Includes the discount for the home owners insurance
    AIG.............$860
    Progressive..$1159
    Geico...........$637

What kind of rates are other people getting on these?

Mine is around 820 for every six months...it finally went down because my wreck went off my license. I was paying almost 1600 every 6 months before that. I am only 29 and my insurance agent is USAA. You have to take into account that Alaska is one of the more expensive states to insure a vehicle.

I got quotes from at least 10 different companies and none of them came close to what I am paying with Gieco so I stayed with them.

I have Safeco Insurance and they are really good to me. I am paying about 650/6 months.

When my Ex wife tried to get my insurance to pay for repairs that was done by your boyfriend at the time, Safeco called me to let me know what she was trying to do and immediately denied her claim.

I just paid $496.90 for 6-months and My coverage is $100,000 / $300,000 liability and a $500 deductible on Comp and Collision.

I forgot to add that that price also covers the liability for my car.

Man, I can't believe those rates.

I use Miller RV Insurance in Oregon as an agent. They obtained a 100/300/50 Policy with $500 Deductible Comprehensive and Collision for my new 2005 Kodiak C4500 with Western Hauler Package from a Foremost Affiliate. My ANNUAL Premium is $985.

    Sounds a bit high.

I have State Farm Mutual--$435.00 every 6 months.
I had State Farm, and it went through the roof. I called my agent and he told me about the State Farm Mutual. It is a program for older, safe drivers.

    36 yrs. old, clean record
    100-300, 500 comp, 1000 coll

Just now looking at My policy I am paying $312.90 for 6-months of full coverage on My 2002 D-Max. I have not even been able to come close to matching that price on many different company quotes.

Yikes!! Here's what I pay for a 2004 Dually, a 2006 Dodge Charger, a 1960 Pontiac Safari Wagon, and a 32' racecoach trailer thru Allstate for 100/300/100 and they do have my house insurance as well. $500 decuctible on collision and $100 on comp. Total premium for all automotive is $2860 a year. The dually is $547 for 6 months.

Granted I am 52 yrs old and was a hell raiser in my younger days paying high rates but when I moved to Colorado in 1981 I went to a friend who worked for the State Farm agent close to where I lived. I have been with them since and just looked and I have the same coverage you stated and I pay $39.81 a month which is about $478 a year. I also have my home, 2 other cars on it as well but this is only the truck.
You are young still and will get the benefits in the future if you take care of your driving habits and not mess up.

one thing to note...Nightmare is in CA, so insurance rates are normally higher than NM. Alaska rates are quite a bit higher than the national average too.

I pay $810.00 with USAA for comprehensive coverage on my 2004.5 GMC 2500HD and my wife's 2004 Ford Focus SVT. She had a rear end collision on her record in 2001. I think it has come down since then. I have never had an accident but a few speeding tickets in the past ten years or so.

I too have USAA and Insure 3 vehicles with them

for 6 months my costs are as follows

    06'Dmax 4x4 $292.71
    00' BMW 323ci $276.23
    06' Passat $367.53

    Total 6 months $936.47

Now the DMax and BMW are low because they are only driven 7000 miles annually, and my coverage is 100/300 with a $1000 deductable.

Ive never been able to touch these rates with any other company.
Ive been with USAA for 13 years with ZERO claims or speeding tickets..
