I will be building my engine tomorrow and forgot to get torque specs from the machine shop. Does anyone have them.
It's a 94 6.5
I need
Cyl head bolts
Rod Bearing Cap
Main Bearing Cap
Thanks Joe
For the head bolts my manual says to coat them with sealant and then tighten in sequence using three stages 20 ft-lbs, 50 ft-lbs, and then 90 degrees more.
Rod caps- 48 ft-lbs
Main Caps - Inner 111 ft-lbs and Outer 100 ft-lbs

Your Welcome Joe,
Still waiting for the parts to arrive, I had hoped they would have been here by Friday, but probably Tuesday now. So, it will have to wait till next weekend.
Renntag, I have a Chilton Manual here by my computer at home, and then at work there is a room full or GM manuals on all makes.
Chilton Manual, $16 at local parts store
GM Manual Sets - 100 to 150 if you get them through the number the dealer gives you, can find them slightly cheaper if you search the net.
